Our tour to St Catherine monastery and Moses Mount will start with pick up service from your hotel in Dahab, where our REP will meet you with aboard reflecting your name, then from Dahab you will be transferred by air-conditioned vehicle to the St Catherine monastery for 2 hours and half. You will take rest at the guesthouse then start climbing the mountain. It is neither the highest mountain in the Sinai region, nor the most dramatic, but this peak is traditionally considered to be biblical place, where God spoke to Moses and where to him were given the two pieces of special stone, inscribed with the Ten Commandments, and Torah (Five Books of Moses).There are two roads to climb Moses mount in Sinai region. Then you will visit St Catherine monastery itself, was actually built by Emperor Justinian between 527 and 565 to protect the monks in the region and to honor the site of the Burning Bush, enclosing the Chapel of the Burning Bush was originally ordered the building of a small church at the site of the Burning Bush by Empress Helen, the mother of Constantine the Great, dedicated to the Holy Virgin. The site was associated with St Catherine of Alexandria (whose relics were purported to have been miraculously transported there by angels) and it became a favorite site of pilgrimage, then you will return to your hotel in Dahab.
