Fly to Cairo, sightseeing in Cairo
Our Cairo and Luxor trip will start with pick up service from your hotel in Hurghada, where our REP will meet you with aboard reflecting your name, then you will be transferred to Hurghada airport for short flight to Cairo. In arrival you will be accompanied by private Egyptologist guide and have first step of your Cairo tour tour to great Pyramids of Giza, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, the tombs of pharaohs constructed around 5000 years ago and great Sphinx - guard of those tombs, with body of lion and human head. Lunch meal will be served during Cairo tour at a good quality restaurant. Next sightseeing of your Cairo tour will be the Egyptian Museum with extensive collection of 120000 items of ancient Egyptian antiquities, famous for artifacts of the child king Tutankhamen's tomb, which was found mostly intact. After all you will visit Old Cairo and see the Coptic Monastery with Hanging Church. This area called "Complex of Three Religions", because there also set he mosque of Amr Ibn al-Aas, erected in the year 642, and Ben Ezra Synagogue, dating by the tenth century. Free time with many optional tours, then you will be driven to Cairo airport to fly to Luxor, with direct transfer to your hotel for check in and overnight stay.
Sightseeing in Luxor, return back to Hurghada
After your breakfast in the hotel you will continue second day of your Cairo and Luxor trip with your Egyptologist guide to visit the West Bank of the Nile River. You will start Luxor tour by visiting the Valley of the Kings - burial place of pharaohs, hidden in the rocks, decorated with scenes and funerary rituals of the period for afterlife of pharaohs. Valley of Kings is famous for Tutankhamen tomb and its treasures, discovered in 1922 by Howard Carter. Next sightseeing of your Luxor trip will be Hatshepsut temple at El Deir Al Bahari, dedicated to the queen Hatshepsut - famous female pharaoh, the temple with three layered terraces connected by long ramps which were once surrounded by gardens. Inside Hatshepsut temple you can see text and picture of an expedition to exotic country calls Land of Punt. Then will visit the Colossi of Memnon, two colossal statues, was stayed guard at entrance of Amenhotep III temple in ancient times, and only remaining nowadays. Name means 'Ruler of the Dawn' and was probably given, because of 'singing' at dawn one of the statue. Lunch meal will be served during Luxor tour at a good quality restaurant. Proceed Luxor tour to Karnak temple the bigest open-air museum in the World. Karnak temple dedicated to the God Amon-Ra, his wife Mut and their son Khonsu. In Karnak Temple each pharaoh tried to perpetuate his name, so it is also known as the Karnak Temple Complex. One of the famous area in Karnak temple - Hypostyle hall with 134 massive columns with over three meters in diameter. Free time, and then you return back to Hurghada.
