Visit Karnak and Luxor temples (East Bank)
Our Luxor sightseeing tour will start with pick up service from your hotel in Makadi Bay, where our REP will meet you with aboard reflecting your name, then from Makadi Bay you will be transferred to Luxor by air-conditioned vehicle with your private Egyptologist guide. The way to Luxor takes 3,5 hours driving with majestic view of mountains of the western desert. In arrival to Luxor you will visit Karnak temple, dedicated to the God Amon-Ra, his wife Mut and their son Khonsu, where each pharaoh tried to perpetuate his name. One of the famous area in Karnak temple - Hypostyle hall with 134 massive columns with over three meters in diameter. Next sightseeing of your Luxor tour will be Luxor temple built by Amenhotep III with grandeur intention and have great number of pillars. It was connected by 3 kilometers paved alley of sphinxes with Karnak Temple. Then you will be transferred to your hotel in Luxor for rest and overnight stay. You can attend the light and sound show in Karnak temple, as optional tour.
Visit Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut temple (West Bank)
After your breakfast at the hotel in Luxor you will continue second day of your Luxor sightseeing tour with your Egyptologist guide to West Bank of the Nile River. You will start by visiting the Colossi of Memnon, two colossal statues, was stayed guard at entrance of Amenhotep III temple in ancient times, and only remaining nowdays. Name means 'Ruler of the Dawn' and was probably given, because of 'singing' at dawn one of the statue. Next sightseeing of your visits in Luxor will be Valley of the Kings - burial place of pharaohs, hidden in the rocks, decorated with scences and funerary rituals of the period for afterlife of pharaohs. Valley of Kings is famous for the child king Tutankhamen tomb and its treasures, discovered in 1922 by Howard Carter. Proceed your tour to Hatshepsut temple at El Deir Al Bahari, dedicated to the queen Hatshepsut - famous female pharaoh, the temple with three layered terraces connected by long ramps which were once surrounded by gardens. Inside Hatshepsut temple you can see text and picture of an expedition to exotic country calls Land of Punt. Free time in Luxor, and then you return back to Makadi Bay.
